SCHOOL THREAT ANNOUNCEMENT
Thursday, January 23, 2020
Dear Miller families, It has come to our attention that several people have indicated they are concerned about a potential threat at the school. Today, the high school administration received a report that a student was talking about another student wanting to buy a gun and show it off. Upon investigation, it was determined that the student was discussing an airsoft gun and no threat was made against any student or the school. In addition, our school resource officer was present at the school and also determined no threat had been made. The safety of our students is a top priority of the Miller R-II School District. To help eliminate any additional concerns, we plan to have additional police presence at school tomorrow. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s principal or feel free to contact me at the District office.
