Girls Advance to Quarterfinal
The Miller Lady Cardinals advanced to the state quarterfinals when they knocked off the defending state champions Sparta Lady Trojans on Wednesday night in Republic. Hannah Wilkerson had 29 points to lead Miller. Jessica Cook had a season high 12 points and Nicole Adams hit two late free throws to "ice" the game for Miller. Miller had a great turn-out and we look to have another one on Saturday night at Willard High School.
The Lady Cardinals will play Osceola Saturday night at Willard High School. Osceola is 23-4 and Miller is 26-4. Tipoff will be 6:00pm. If you are unable to go for any reason you can listen to the game at www.mykdkd.com They are based out of Clinton and will be broadcasting the game live.
If the girls advance to Columbia their first game will be at 8:20pm on Thursday March, 18. If they are able to win that game they would play Saturday afternoon at 3:20. Lose that game and they would play at 3:20 on Friday for 3rd.
