                                                     Miller Baseball Is Here


    After an outstanding basketball season, making a final four appearance that saw a 3rd place finish, the Cardinal baseball team looks to obtain more success. A new Cardinal will be joining the staff as Coach Dan Barrett will be taking over the head coaching position for the Cards after the departure of Coach Matt Walters. The Cardinals swept the conference last year, and their district only to lose in sectionals to Norwood, that loss ended the season with a 21-4 record. The Cards will be bringing back eight starters and 11 lettermen. Four seniors will also be back, including: Tyler Abma, Jeremy Gulick, Ryan Morris, and Josh Harlow. Senior Tylar Hill joining the Cards team. Also returning are Juniors Derek Jack, Wil Harrington, and Sophomore Zach Eaton. The Cards will kick off their season on Thursday March 26th, 2009 at Mickey Owens Field at 4:30 p.m. Mickey Owens Field is only temporary this year, and they are working hard to get the new baseball field ready for action.
