The Miller baseball team defeated Mt. Vernon 8-1. In the process, 2 records were set. The 19th victory of the season is a Miller baseball record for wins in a season. Also, this was the 19th consecutive win, which sets a record for consecutive wins by any Miller athletic team.
Ryan Cobb picked up the win on the mound for the Cardinals and was supported by the potent Miller offense led by Jeremy Gulick who went 3 for 3 with a big 3 run Home Run in the first inning. Cobb threw a complete game, striking out 6 with only 1 walk. He scattered 9 hits and allowed only 1 run.
