Taylor Rivera wins award as runner of the year

Miller High School junior Taylor Rivera was awarded Class 1 runner of the year by the Southwest Missouri Track and Cross Country Coaches. The award marks the third time Rivera has been named outstanding runner. In 2005, she won the award for cross country. In 2006, she won the award for track. And most recently in 2007, she was named the best in the area for track and cross country. In total, Rivera has won 4 state gold medals and 1 silver medal.
